Professional Partnerships

Recently, I was looking in to booking a vacation for my family. I started online, thinking there are plenty of travel sites and deals to be found. However, I was quickly overwhelmed with options, lack of a full picture of what was included in the cost, and just uncertainty of how to proceed to make a wise decision for this major purchase. Not to mention the time it took to research and keep track of information. I decided to contact a travel agent I knew and told her my budget and general area I wanted to go, hoping she would have access to deals and options I didn’t. I was able to ask questions and get answers timely and personally. Her experience and expertise gave me confidence and peace of mind that I was getting the best options and the best deal. When my first choice didn’t work out, she was in my court to provide other options and in the end, I am happier with the second choice. Even though I could have found something on my own, and I still did a lot of my own research, without her guidance and support I was not willing to take the risk and book it on my own. And now that it is booked, I have her support should any issues arise at the time of travel, which can be very stressful if things don’t work out.

So now that you are convinced to use a travel agent for your next holiday, I’d like to link my analogy to the business of staffing. As an employer, you can certainly post a job on your own, but then what? Lately we have been seeing an influx of applicants for most jobs (with many that are not qualified and just easily hit the “apply now” button), which takes us more time to sort and screen through. As professionals, this is our job and our wheelhouse, so we can do it quickly and efficiently. However, on your own, it takes time away from you doing your job. When you partner with Hire Standard, we become your trusted advisors, giving you suggestions and support, answering your questions and even letting you air your frustration as a listening ear and guidance. Sometimes, employers don’t know exactly what position they need to fill and we can talk you through it to focus the scope for a job description, title and posting. Our communication is timely and thorough. We will narrow down the options of applicants so that you only see the best and can still make the final decision. We give you a guarantee with check ins after the hire and a replacement if things aren’t working out in the first year. Making a hire is a risk, you are taking a chance bringing someone on to your staff, training them, teaching them your processes, giving them access to confidential information and accounts, having them interact with your customers and staff. If it is not the right fit you lose that time and investment, not to mention potential for damage to your reputation, theft or fraud. So, while you can certainly hire on your own, we are able to take the work, time, stress and risk off your hands. In many aspects of life, there are professionals we can utilize to help with a myriad of tasks and functions – because your time is valuable too.
